Too Much Executive Meddling Kills Quality!

Here's another bit of my ramblings perhaps due to the fact I can't get over the stuff that's going on.  So far we've got to think of how entertainment companies like Toei, Capcom and Saban have already suffered from what looks like as too much executive meddling.  Here are my examples and what I think:

Capcom- As said this company has really abandoned Megaman.  The current board of directors had no respect over Keiji Inafune their golden goose who really brought the icon of Megaman to life and caused Capcom to be recognized.  I look at it that while it's okay if there are no new Megaman games for now- like I seriously thought Megaman needed a break... but cancelling the whole Legends 3 project looks like a really bad move.  Or another, why would Capcom decide to get rid of the goose that lays the golden eggs?  Megaman was still feasible them cut him off?  Also, I just gave a thought that Megaman should be given more appearances with crossover games IF they don't intend to make another game.  Capcom should at least honor the Blue Bomber, Megaman with non video game merchandise like T-shirts or whatever.  They should realize it's a very costly decision that would make Sigma glad.

Saban Entertainment- The good example towards this one is how Power Rangers had run from bad to worse in several occasions. The first I might add would be how Saban should have ended MMPR while it was still good, instead he decided to order Zyu2 footage and Toei probably wanting more, decided to comply with the order instead of suggesting to Saban to create an entirely different season with new cast.  What happened?  MMPR went from bad to worse.  To be honest, the second season's Lord Zedd stole too much spotlight to the point Goldar had to become an idiot or goes out-of-character until he's reduced to a complete moron.  Season three was even worse.  I can't blame Austin St. John, Walter Emmanuel Jones, Thuy Trang and later Amy Jo Johnson for leaving.  Also, I just thought that the Zordon arc was pretty much a mess which can lead to Power Rangers having a lot of unfair haters.  Maybe I should also talk about Power Rangers Samurai's getting the Asian theme gone wrong.  As much as I don't like Disney's Power Rangers, I will say they did the Asian themes better.  Power Rangers Samurai ends up a lame copy/paste, or two, they aren't exploring new opportunities for the red ranger.  They could have had an Asian red ranger if they tried hard enough or if they didn't want to have one, they could have at least altered a lot of elements in the story to make it more sensible.  The Mega Mode also is another lame option to sell more toys... just like the Battlizers.  Seriously Saban should have considered the good old days after PR in Space and ending with Wild Force or how Disney still handled Power Rangers but failed in Kalish's era after SPD.  Seriously Saban, you should try to make sure Megaforce does way better than the garbage that is PR Samurai.

Disney- Gone are the days when the work of the late Walt Disney was that good.  What basically happened with Disney was that bad writing began to plague the company.  As a 90s kid, I really thought of perhaps the last best Disney films I saw were Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.  But after that, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules literally went down the drain with quality.  Or maybe one has to consider the addition of that (insert bad word here) of Hannah Montana.  Maybe one could consider also how Disney's Power Rangers went to a real ruin due to executive meddling.  Power Rangers SPD's Sam being a ball of light was Disney's fault, not Kalish and seriously as much as I don't like SPD or Kalish's writing of Power Rangers, Disney gets the blame for that ball of light.  Also, I might consider the overall failure of Power Rangers Operation Overdrive to Disney and not to Kalish.  Seriously Kalish had a good idea brewing there with the Corona Aurora but it seems executive meddling killed that potential to be better.  Also for Power Rangers RPM, I seriously thought it needed a little more episodes too.

Toei- From what it looks like, Toei is getting too focused on toy sales whether it'd be Kamen Rider, Super Sentai or Power Rangers since Boukenger and Hibiki.  Shinegori Takadera apparently got fired due to executive meddling when he refused to let Hibiki go into that direction thus ruining potential.  That was one golden goose killer considering he was the producer of Carranger, Megaranger, Gingaman and Kuuga.  Also, I just thought of it that there's also the goal to sell more toys- nothing wrong with but TOO MUCH can destroy a show.  Super Sentai now suffers from mecha mayhem.  At first, they were quite handled like how Gaoranger handled multi-gattai well then followed by Abaranger.  However some shows just pop too much mecha to sell toys.  While Boukenger had handled its mecha mayhem well, Go-onger.  Go-onger as much as I enjoy its wacky, nonsense humor does suffer from too much toy commercialism.  Shinkenger as much as I like the show, I'd say the Mougyudaioh was pretty much a boring filler and a poor imitation of the Galaxy Robo story.  Goseiger suffers that the most.  Gokaiger me well I just do get boggled at all the mecha as well as more for commercialization even if I think the series itself is decent.  Gobusters, sheesh, all that meddling killed an otherwise good potential.
