Westerners Getting into Oriental Tea Time

I had my thoughts on the 14th episode of Shinkenger where Bulk Mr. Brown meets the Shinkengers and had his experience with a tea time ceremony.  Mr. Brown drank down some hot matcha and said it was quite bitter.  But maybe, just maybe if he drank it cold it might be quite different.

In the recent years, Chatime has managed to click to the Western audience perhaps with its own adaptations.  Maybe, just maybe hot tea didn't click so cold tea became what made Eastern tea flavors click on the West.  While hot tea is what is frequently in our head, cold tea seems to become the click fad like cold coffee in coffee shops, cold tea became another click factor too.  My thought also involve...

With East-West marriages happening in America, it becomes a necessity to do cultural adjustments.  Having Eastern in-laws means getting into an immersion like learning chopsticks, drinking hot tea and a result of a a mixed marriage can mean mixed cultures.  So hot tea becomes cold tea, you eat pasta with chopsticks... you definitely get some interesting results. =)
