Shaina Magdayao's Assigned Role As Tanya In "Tagpuan" As A Half-Chinese, Half-Filipino Pimp

I don't know if I should really watch Tagpuan online during the now-online Metro Manila Film Festival. Sure, I could afford PHP 250.00 but I'd usually get a value meal for that! Her role is Tanya who is a half-Filipino and half-Chinese character. The character of Tanya was born out of rape between a Chinese man and a Filipino domestic helper. Tanya becomes a sex worker in Hong Kong - one that would really lure you out. So, I thought does Shaina (appearance-wise) actually fit the role of a lovechild between a Chinese man and his Filipino rape victim?

Granted, I really love to mention that Shaina Magdayao resembles Korean actress Jin A Nana in some way. In Shaina's case, she does have Caucasian blood in her veins. I can't be sure of Nana but almost every angle (except the eyes) is nearly the same. One can argue Shaina has rounder eyes in contrast with Nana. Well, don't some Filipinos who are half-Chinese have round eyes even if they may have other Chinese features? Shaina having a South Korean doppelganger (and Koreans are still part of the East Asian race) might be a good justification for her role. Take note that both Risa Hontiveros and Liza Soberano also look like Japanese actress Meisa Kuroki. Maybe some people have also pointed out some similarities between Pinoy celebrities and Tokusatsu stars. For instance, Robin Padilla looks like Kazuoki Takahashi who played as Sho in Changeman while Filipinos may recognize him as George Makabe (Jinpak in the dub) in Janperson. In Nana's case, she's also had a role as a seductress in Swindlers. Coincidence?

I guess Shaina landing the role doesn't seem to be that out-of-place. Sure, the role could've been assigned to anybody in ABiaS-CBN who's at least half-Chinese.
