Satirical News: ABiaS-CBN Announces "Glitch" Filipino Remake To Counter "Voltes V Legacy"

After hearing that Voltes V Legacy was beating the ratings of Batang Quiapo - ABiaS-CBN decided to fight fire with fire. Carlo Katigbak and Cory Vidanes announced their intent to remake the Korean drama series Netflix for the Philippines. It was last planned that executives of ABiaS-CBN met with Netflix to begin contractual signing.

The initial cast members have been announced. Angel Locsin (who got married to Neil Arce a few years back) and Shaina Magdayao are to be cast. The reason is because of their facial resemblances to actresses Jeon Yeo Bin and Jin A Nana. The Filipino adaptations of the Korean characters will be named Jennifer Hontiveros (Hong Ji Hyo) and Barbie Hernandez (Heo Bora). The story will still follow where Jennifer looks for her missing boyfriend and gets reunited with an estranged friend, some UFO enthusiasts, and a sinister religious organization obsessed with aliens.

The script itself was announced online. Magdayao was previously involved with Almost Paradise Season 2. Now, Magdayao is looking forward to the Filipino remake of Glitch. Locsin also shows her enthusiasm to get the script done. It was also said that the Filipino remake may carry over casts from the Kokey franchise.
