As a constructive critic of some stuff, I would believe you must back your opinion up based on facts. However some things are just too relative even with the facts. Below are a few examples:
There's always the arguments of Toei's three major golden geese- Super Sentai, Power Rangers and Kamen Rider. I could understand it if some Super Sentai fans don't like Power Rangers or some are Power Rangers fans who are Super Sentai fans or some prefer Kamen Rider alone while others with Super Sentai and Power Rangers. Now for one bit or another- I like Super Sentai and Kamen Rider more than I like Power Rangers, I'm less of a Power Rangers fan. Mr. Smith apparently likes Power Rangers just as much as he likes Super Sentai. Fantasy Leader isn't a Power Rangers fan but he's against the unfair haters of any kind. Pretty much, these fantard wars are very annoying. Gokaiger vs. Samurai by Arnold was nothing more than a huge fight ground, he should really remove that hate fic because it's really causing too much trouble as Chris X would call it as a horribifucus bad hate fic and to SailorGokaiMoon a source of fantard wars. In fact my Super Sentai blog has reached a lot due to me being not hateful, I wish can remain not hateful.
On a show's preference, I pretty much would say even Tokusatsu fans argue among themselves like PR vs. PR, Sentai vs. Sentai, Kamen Rider vs. Kamen Rider, Power Rangers vs. Power Rangers argument that makes things go from bad to worse. For example, That Chick has a more positive review of Den-O while I don't it's simply preferential like me recommending the taste of certain food and then suddenly some person doesn't like what I recommended, Fantasy Leader doesn't like Black RX but I do. But then again despite all those disagreements, I don't bash them or send them angry comments just because they disagree with me. In fact, it's a very friendly opinion clash of sorts.
Food preferences. I remembered Chris X posting in my Super Sentai blog saying he prefers Japanese curry in contrast to my preference of Indian curry. Included in this is my dislike for Thai cuisine due to the use of shrimp paste and coconut milk in cooking while others love it. I like mint candies, others don't. Pretty simple really.
Music choices. Not everybody likes classical music or the golden oldies like I do. I do like classical music to the point I don't like any form of metal or rock, it kinda breaks my nerves so a one-step heavy metal program is bound to defeat me. That's why I bring my earphones so I can listen to music without disturbing others who don't like my taste in music.
Comedy can be very relative. To be honest, I just still consider Spongebob funny even if there are moments that annoy me like Mr. Krabs or Patrick. It's not worth it writing a stupid hate fic where Spongebob becomes a world dictator, Risky can dislike Spongebob all he wants but that fic was too much. Fantasy Leader doesn't find Go-onger funny like I do but that's okay, I don't mind his preferences at all. In fact, what I like about the Fantasy Leader is that no matter how much he hates something, he doesn't write hate fics or bash it all around.
I could really say that most of the time, beauty can only be in the eyes of the beholder. Some people may even prefer darker over lighter, fatter over slimmer, etc. like how I know somebody who's attracted to overweight women over my personal preference of a sexy built and I personally like fairer skin while others like darker skin it's their choice and my choice. In my case, I could care less about some boys choosing Mei over Kimberly in hotness, my choice is Kimberly in hotness and that's just me though I'm way liking Mei better character-wise and choice for a girlfriend ha ha ha. =P
As said, we all have our preferences. We can't really argue all time about opinions and waste or time in useless squabbles. Let's respect each other's opinions and all.
