Well Mr. Smith is a white American guy and I am an Oriental guy (Chinese by descent), I thought of this event.  I still remembered an old post by Mr. Smith where he in a friendly way, begs to differ over my opinion on Kimberly.  In a later post , he picks Jasmine.  Now I wish me and Mr. Smith can do some exchange of opinions every now and then.  Just a fun post so I won't post it on anything but my personal blog... I just watched Blood Lake where Ciara Hanna sheds off her image as a Nickelodeon girl, no longer a Power Ranger but a girl in a more mature role.  She plays as Nicole, a typical teenager who has parental issues.  Now for the plot... it involves the overpopulation of these bloodsuckers called lampreys.  When they are out of food and the ecological balance is destroyed, they start to attack humans.   Normally lampreys don't attack humans unless they are starved and this is where things get really scary. No movie is ever complete without some internal conflict.  Yes, Nicole's father is a marine expert and he is hired by some stupid mayor (played by Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future) to get rid of the lampreys.  The mayor is pretty stupid not to take the lamprey problem seriously or to think it can be easily taken care of in a day.  Fortunately, the stupid mayor gets his comeuppance while some characters die from lamprey attacks, the film does h...

While watching Victorious, I remembered that episode where Jade supposedly broke up with Beck while there was the subplot where Trina was forcing Robbie to write a good review on that rather horrid play "Chicago".  Robbie was later assaulted for writing a bad review.  For one a critic is ENTITLED to their won opinions NOT your opinions.  It's like Fantasy Leader's statement that said to me, "Look Sean, I know you don't hate Go-onger, that's your opinion.  Stop reminding me because I won't say anything good about it."  He respects my criticism of Go-onger and I accept his.  Pretty much, critics are entitled to their opinions as long as they don't do any douchebag or jerkass moves in the process. I like Boukenger, he doesn't, I like Black RX, he doesn't.  Why should I quarrel over that?!  Some things are subject to opinions while facts remain as facts. Well as a critic, I thought that here's some things I thought about Hollywood and the movies based on video games.  Now here are some: The Super Mario Movie- I really thought as a child, this movie seemed exciting on paper BUT this movie is fucking stupid.  Why?  It just doesn't feel like a Super Mario adaptation compared to the Super Mario cartoons produced by DIC.  One way or another this movie is HORRIBUFUCKUSLY stupid.  So yeah, it's pretty much where it doesn't even look kid friendly nor appealing.  So when did King Koopa start to look human huh?  In fact, it's so horrible nothing like a Super Mario adaptation that's good, it's so horrible it's so bad. Well I just started playing both games after getting a discounted PS3 for the family.  Well not that I got rid of my PS2, I still want to play other games but... I thought I'd play MK Komplete Edition and Tekken 6. So here's a friendly comparison of these games. MK Komplete Edition So this takes place after Mortal Kombat Armageddon where basically everything was ended at the Buddhist version of Armageddon.  The Chinese pantheon was defeated, Raiden the god of thunder is defeated by Shao Kahn on top of the pyramid after Taven ascends to join the other gods.  So after Shao Kahn kills Raiden, something happens when he says, "He must win."  So maybe Shao Kahn was defeated by the Elder Gods after this and the whole MK timeline gets reincarnated.  So maybe eons or what in the cycle of rebirth and karma, but some wicked foes are still wicked.  In here, Raiden seeking not to let another Armageddon happen gets visions from his previous life that was corrupted b...

Well we do all need criticism but some people are just extremely cruel, put you down critics aren't they?  Hard to accept it but it can be real.  It's okay to dislike something but we are really probably getting too focused on the negative side of things all the time.  I mean while hate activities should definitely cease and desist, but it becomes too much when every form of criticism becomes unfair because it's laced with mockery, screams, insults, name calling, etc. which really makes people go from bad to worse instead.  I was thinking that well nobody's really exempt from mutating into bad critics in some points of their lives.  What I just thought was that I really want to do a three dimensional assessment of things in anything that I critique because I just don't want to be not looking at the bright side but except if it can't be helped.  I was thinking today bosses can be very bossy hence they're not leaders, they're just bosses.  For the major...

It was just in the 90s when Tekken as a 3D game came, still with the low budget but yet it managed to create an impression.  Why would that be?  Even Ed Boon of Netherrealm Studios is a fan of this game by Namco.  As of recent, I think Tekken is still the king of fighting games for some very good reasons. I just had a thought on these factors that makes Tekken so popular: 1.) Intense storyline- Tekken has an intense storyline that I find quite unique.  In fact, the Mishima storyline of dysfunctionality is one of the most unique stories in many years.  Each game reveals a different aspect of the story like the Mishima family curse, Tekken 3 featured the return of Jin Kazama, Tekken 4 returned the fan favorite Kazuya Mishima, Tekken 5 the return of the unplayable boss Jinpachi and Tekken 6 the rise of Azazel.  Each game releases a batch of interesting characters as well as other plots like the ongoing Nina/Anna sibling rivalry or how each tournament call...

As a constructive critic of some stuff, I would believe you must back your opinion up based on facts.  However some things are just too relative even with the facts.  Below are a few examples: There's always the arguments of Toei's three major golden geese- Super Sentai, Power Rangers and Kamen Rider.  I could understand it if some Super Sentai fans don't like Power Rangers or some are Power Rangers fans who are Super Sentai fans or some prefer Kamen Rider alone while others with Super Sentai and Power Rangers.  Now for one bit or another- I like Super Sentai and Kamen Rider more than I like Power Rangers, I'm less of a Power Rangers fan.  Mr. Smith apparently likes Power Rangers just as much as he likes Super Sentai.  Fantasy Leader isn't a Power Rangers fan but he's against the unfair haters of any kind.  Pretty much, these fantard wars are very annoying.  Gokaiger vs. Samurai by Arnold was nothing more than a huge fight ground, he should rea...

I had my thoughts on what makes me an unfair critic and here they are... Pretty much self-indulgent and lacking self-discipline.  Think of the Corporate Commander here LOL.  I'd agree I'm prone to self-indulgence myself. Biases can be another.  Hee hee, just a pun why I'm using Great Professor Bias to illustrate.  Bias means personal and sometimes unreasonable judgment.  That is in other words extreme favoritism.  To be honest, I wanted to use my Super Sentai blog to frequently bash Power Rangers without mercy but glad I didn't though I still can suffer from extreme favoritism in these ways like focusing only on what I want. For example, I can end up bashing a bad season very badly like how I've badmouthed Kalish seasons a lot just because I don't like them or two, wrote a hate fic episode of the Operation Overdrive team sent to a suicide mission by Ichijo and purposely making them out-of-character just to make them look bad.  Or two, I do find m...

It's pretty much my challenge as a critic to stay positive, good and not the negative type of critic.  This is a bit of some exchange of life lessons between me and the Fantasy Leader. Now to differentiate them... The good critic.  I would like to use Fantasy Leader as an example.  Sure he has his likes, dislikes and common likes but as said, he keeps everything very professional like how he chooses to avoid Rangerboard than quarrel there.  Just read the blog Valsag Fantasy or keep an eye on his Tumblr, he's a very good critic with very few biases.  In fact, he's helped me become a good critic by dropping by and leaving comments to help me see where I stumble.  He doesn't like Power Rangers but you don't hear him whine or worse overly whining how much he doesn't like it.  Pretty much, he's also respectful of the opinion of others like he respects the fact I like Black RX and Go-onger when he doesn't like them.  Others might include That Chick, ...

Thinking about some useful insights by the Fantasy Leader on TV ratings, I would like to discuss on the differences with this example... My favorite example would be on Power Rangers and Super Sentai.  So I guess it's already common knowledge now Super Sentai came first, true Power Rangers fans shouldn't be close minded about Super Sentai.  The truth is more people have seen Power Rangers than Super Sentai but that doesn't make Power Rangers better. So maybe I'll use the examples of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and its adaptation Power Rangers Samurai.  So pretty much, there are more people who've seen Power Rangers than Super Sentai due to accessibility worldwide.  People tend to think if it's American it's good but I don't really throw my hate on Power Rangers, I still like the franchise but not as much as much.  On the other hand, despite Super Sentai's being underrated I still like it for better quality than Power Rangers.  I just thought Powe...

Okay criticism can be positive or negative, that is one may criticize another to help improve the other to put the other down.  On the side of positive criticism, one can get deep in thought or mean-spirited at first... however there's such a thing as unintentionally funny criticism.  How does that happen?  Well if it happens with when the positive critic points out a mistake that's pretty too much of a goofball rather than the usual "wrong direction" mistakes.  I don't know how to elaborate on this but it can go like this... Comment: Good leader?!  Oh my you need to rewatch Shinkenger OVA please do so so you don't make any more similar mistakes!  Ryunosuke was so much of a lousy leader there. Respondent: WOOPS!
