I had my thoughts on what makes me an unfair critic and here they are...
Pretty much self-indulgent and lacking self-discipline. Think of the Corporate Commander here LOL. I'd agree I'm prone to self-indulgence myself.
Biases can be another. Hee hee, just a pun why I'm using Great Professor Bias to illustrate. Bias means personal and sometimes unreasonable judgment. That is in other words extreme favoritism. To be honest, I wanted to use my Super Sentai blog to frequently bash Power Rangers without mercy but glad I didn't though I still can suffer from extreme favoritism in these ways like focusing only on what I want. For example, I can end up bashing a bad season very badly like how I've badmouthed Kalish seasons a lot just because I don't like them or two, wrote a hate fic episode of the Operation Overdrive team sent to a suicide mission by Ichijo and purposely making them out-of-character just to make them look bad. Or two, I do find myself having a hard time rewatching MMPR after I've watched Zyuranger and Dairanger.
Face value preferences. Maybe it's not really that bad since I'm getting used to watching Kamen Rider recently and there aren't really much pretty girls there compared to in Super Sentai. But it can affect me in some way like watching Emma Roberts, Victoria Justice, etc. on their shows for their beauty. But on the non-superficial side of me I prefer Zyuranger over MMPR even if I find Kimberly hotter than Mei though for Power Rangers Samurai, I'll admit my superficial side surfaced when I preferred Shinkenger over it for Mako but good thing it is't a primary reason for me. But still, I tend to be clouded by hot chicks. =(
