As a kid, I remembered how I started out as a fantard towards American culture (while hypocritically watching Tagalog-dubbed or English-dubbed Japanese shows) then it happened. I watched more Japanese shows and I remembered reading a very old edition of Questor Magazine with an article called "Sentai: It's Not What You Think". I wondered what in the world was Sentai then I found it it's the very TV show that Power Rangers was based from. While I acknowledge that Toei and Saban worked together and made big tons of money from it but I still feel that deep inside, they're probably still grumbling while saying, "Are Americans really that chicken?!" I can't say they are and I won't say they are but I'd dare say that they're probably grumbling like that. I'm not anti-American nor do I want to become one. I'm still using Microsoft Office, Google and I'm still on the Internet which was made by Americans but I avoid American shows. That pretty much explains why I don't even intend to be updated on Power Rangers. As much as I acknowledge Toei's involvement in the production and the need for localization but just the mere fact it's an American-made show makes me think, "There goes my brain!" I admit, I still suffer from the mental decay because I spent a lot of time watching mostly American shows as a child. I thought that just because it's American it's good. Boy, I was really that wrong and all those American TV shows may have attributed to why my learning ability slowed down during my teenage years.

Apparently Pinoys and Muricans have a lot of bad traits in common.  With the allegation that the Murican adult is dumber than most adults, I guess it's no wonder why the typical Filipino is dragged down in the process.  Now to list them down: Declaring heroes out of disrespect.  Get Real Philippines compared the situation of Viraliano Aguirre to Steven Slater in this article .  During the Jetblue flight incident, some hailed Steven Slater as a hero for "standing up against bullies".  What went wrong was that what he did jeopardized airline safety, he could have just reported the bully passenger to the management so the person could be banned.  But no, he pulled out a publicity stunt that deserves him to be jailed yet many Americans made him a hero.  Later the same happened during hte impeachment trial when Viraliano Aguirre decided to show the court he wasn't willing to listen to Miriam's tirades... which were against the incompetence of the prosec...

From the New York Post , it is said that a lot of U.S. adults are dumber than the average human.  It leaves me thinking how true is this post?  Before, America was viewed as the land of promise, the land of greatness, it was once the greatest country in the world (or so many thought)... and now to take a look at what happened in America and what is going on and what traits Failipinos have carried over from the Murkans: One may want to take a look at the disaster known as George W. Bush's administration.  His warmongering policies led to America's poor economy.  In his administration, several bank con cases had happened through mail order fraud and stock manipulation.  If America gets conned out of a lot of money in one sitting, it deserves to crash!  Before George W. Bush became President, the Philippines had Sherap's rather destructive solution against the Abu Sayyaf or you can talk how the 1987 Constitution did not reverse the damages done by the Macoy...

I was doing some research on Americans and aging faster.  But as said, it's not really all the time that American people age faster but most do.  One example is how Pamela Anderson went from beauty queen to a massacred hag.  Looking at not just isolated examples, these are some scenarios concerning American lifestyle that contributes to why they are aging faster: 1.) Too much stress.  America can be a city of too much stress with its lifestyle and ever changing trends.  I mean, it's always catching up with trends and that creates too much stress. 2.) The unhealthy diet is another.  You are what you eat.  Eating foods that are good in nutrition help people age properly, unhealthy ones destroy the system.  You could start with all the junk food and fatty food that start to contribute to that.  A lot of Americans are obese too.  In the process, the heart is overworked causing the person to age faster. 3.) Most American shows are overrated that's the sad fact.  It's always "America... America..." well while I am NOT anti-American otherwise I wouldn't be supporting Power Rangers or Spongebob but here's a few facts worth mentioning... While I'm not anti-Power Rangers myself but it is overrated compared to Super Sentai thanks to some American mindset.  It does become a problem really when people watch a show or love it just because it's American forgetting the fact that Power Rangers with its multi-ethnic group may be meant to be anti-racist (seriously all that Trini and Zack as racist controversy should be dropped).  It's a sad fact that there are those annoying Power Rangers purists who will refuse to watch the source of the show that is Super Sentai (even WHEN the credits of Power Rangers credits the show it was based from) and they are just as annoying as the unfair haters of Power Rangers. While I can understand that American TV can tone down the violence like prohibiting scenes like Lucas killing Alex in Time Force in contrast to Timeranger but what bothers me is the later part where American TV shows tend to have too many stupid rules about death scenes in American kiddie shows.  Here's one example... Yup here's probably the BIGGEST and I mean biggest controversy on American children cartoons.  In Transformers: The Movie, a lot of children really cried over the death of Optimus Prime on the big screen causing parents to complain.  For me, it wasn't a jump the shark move- Optimus Prime died a badass death.  What I thought of the death scene was this- it's very typical for heroic figures to die in battle than their natural deaths in the real life.  So it pretty much changed the ending of G.I.Joe the Movie where Duke who was supposedly dead was later stuck in a coma after being impaled by Serpentor.  Then again, that scene where Serpentor t...

Well I guess it's time to start a bit of bashing those nasty PR purists aside from the Sentai purists.  So let's begin shall we?  These are just those boo hoo crybabies... If it's American then it's automatically good.  Wow these people are just C-R-A-Z-EEEEEE... and why would I say that?  Because for one , not everything American is good and every part of the world has something to offer.  Also if it wasn't for Super Sentai and Toei granting the license, there would be no Power Rangers.  While I don't support Arnold's hate fic that deserved bad comments, however I would be going against the mainstream stupidity of American is always good.  If they're not going to check Super Sentai out, they are missing a lot.  I would just say if America were always better then why is China NOW doing better than America?  Why are suddenly Chinese sports teams now a dominant force?  Leaves room for thought. I would like to say I'm not anti-American as a whole but sometimes I do get tempted to do so.  Now I've got a huge message for American superiority mentality fantards and all.  Now let's begin... Here's the reality: to adapt or not to adapt?  I was just thinking of this question due to the horrible reality of unfair and extreme favoritism of Super Sentai by its purists aside from the freaking childish side of those who don't want to view Super Sentai as Power Rangers extremists.  Now here's the reality.  Adaptation is NOT always bad.  It's how it's being adapted that matters.  Seriously I'm even opening my fan fic "Super Sentai vs. Nickelodeon" for adaptation purposes for those who don't like my roster of characters or felt they can do better, bring it on.  So now here's some good and bad adaptations... There are Taiwanese and Chinese adaptations of Anime.  Some of them turn out pretty good as you know it.  Meteor Garden was adapted from Hana Yori Dango, to which while it had its big differences (because of a second season) but it was done well.  However some of them can be terrible like Hot Shot due to poor execution.  But s...

Sad but true but there also common bad traits between MOST (not all) Filipinos and MOST (not all) Americans.  The following are true as well apparently for both sides... Both races fail to see the beauty of their NATURAL skin color!  Seriously Americans look good for BEING WHITE, brown Filipinos look good for BEING BROWN!  Unnatural skin color is SO UGLY and GOOFY!  Check every tanned white American and every bleached native Filipino!   UGLY!!!!!  I just used Spongebob's picture above to show how STUPID it can get!  The ending of the episode was pretty just meaningful when everybody turned to dust in the tanning party.  If it were the Philippines, I guess everybody will turn to slime instead of dust. Both sides spend too much.  What they see, they buy and if they can't buy, they borrow TONS OF MONEY to get it and most of them don't bother to pay at all.  Some even recklessly charge to their credit cards and pay penalties. ...

Don't get me wrong there are still GOOD American shows but I have to admit most of it is trash.  Hate is just strong enough a word to describe how I feel.  Here are some things I'd like to voice out about American shows: I'd like to TALK ABOUT how corny most of American humor is.  I simply want to use the clip above as an example.  Seriously for me, the clip above is NOT even funny.  Okay I have NOTHING against Americans in general but the clip above makes it easy to negatively generalize Americans!  Overacting is an issue on American TV. Many kid's shows are moronic.  To be honest, Sentai can just be edited, put the death in dialogue but overtime American TV has become SO STUPID.  For example, Transformers the Movie had MANY kids crying and parents rather than tell their children that the death of Optimus Prime made him a real hero, complained about the scenes.  So instead, American TV slowly started removing the reality of d...

After watching Forbidden Kingdom and The Monkey King that involved a white man falling for a Chinese girl, there can be a reversal for the scripts.  So I personally thought that most of the Chinese guy-American girl scripts are based on real incidents, I think they should at least put it in fiction.  So what's my plot?  Well, I would like to see a white girl fall into ancient China like Miaka did in Fushigi Yuugi and perhaps, let a woman's point of view fill in the scene rather than just having white men.

I guess it's only natural that Chinese girls do get attractive.  Well above is Crystal Liu Yi Fei, one of my favorite Chinese actresses and a really attractive one at best.  I find her more attractive than most of the Power Rangers' babes that were present during the Disney era.  Anyway side comment- I think they would like to stay in America to learn English more then they can start teaching them their language.  Hee hee.  Talk about inter-culture exchange- maybe and must maybe, Chinese and white Americans are meant to create a super race when they interbreed?!  I think so!  However some American males prefer to go after the ethnic looking Chinese over the enhanced ones (who carry Western genes) for some reason.  Other American males have Chinese partners that are obviously enhanced.  Well, these half-breeds can speak the Chinese language vs. those who have an American mother, Chinese father because it's the mother who coaches the language....

It's true that many people choose American stuff not over quality but it's on the overrated side. Here are just some ways: It's all about the attractiveness of American women. Okay I admit that I tend to find hot American women hotter than hot Oriental women but NOT ALL American women are hotter than Oriental women. In fact, some American women are not attractive at all. It's all about food. Okay I eat American food but NOT all of it. Not all of them taste good. Some of them taste good because of the fusion cuisines. Many Filipinos for instance overrate all things American they feel to see the deliciousness of their local foods. The same applies to other products too. Not all American products are quality-based- some are good as junk. It's also about American entertainment. Choosing an American adaptation over the Asian original is usually bias filled like choosing between Super Sentai and Power Rangers. Popularity can be sometimes based on bi...

I would like to think about some bad things I've noticed about American entertainment. Here they are: American entertainment is basically watered down and gets too extended at times that plots soon get ruined. Most of them don't have a proper ending too. Humor can be too simpleminded. Take for instance how the Scooby Doo series has laughs even when there's nothing funny.

Here's what- making a racist comment against Chinese is not only going to anger the Chinese community but also some Americans who are very anti-racist believing that America was meant for ALL not for those just born American. These Americans can also include those who are married to Chinese partners.

While it's been pretty much in our minds that Americans are usually taller, the contrary is true. Also with the Chinese, many of them have gone taller and China also has gave one of the tallest basketball players around Yao Ming. Also there are some Chinese stars of this generation who are actually around 175 cm and higher. For example, Japanese actor Tori Matsuzaka is 181 cm in height. That makes him taller than the rest of the Taiwanese F4 boyband members. Some Oriental males who are married to western women are a lot taller than their wives. And some Americans are actually shorter than we think especially with women. Emma Roberts is only 5'2 tall. Hmmm I wonder why she didn't grow taller? In fact, some Chinese guys who married American women are actually a lot taller than their wives. I remembered meeting an American woman and she was just that tall too. I personally would be interested in dating a 5'2 Caucasian girl.
