The cast of Ryusoulger was last seen bonding with actor Metal Yoshida for their upcoming project together. The plot involves the long-extinct caldera in Japan known as Mashu Volcano. Satirical News: Toei Ltd. Announces New Failed Hero Series Nihonjin No Heishi

The recent event of Gary Alejano claiming to fight for the West Philippine Sea caught their attention. After Squatterman ended with a rating that exceeded both Lupinranger vs. Patranger and Kamen Rider Build (in spite of it being planned to be only a mini-series) -- they decided to create a new failed hero known as Nihonjin No Heishi. Nihonjin No Heishi means "Soldier of the Japanese". The newest character known as Gouki Arujano would be acted by Metal Yoshida and his wife Hiromi Iwasaki will play as Minerva Chosakabe-Arujano. Minerva is a member of the Chosakabe Hacienda located in Chiba Prefecture. Gouki is a Japanese soldier turned member of the Japanese Diet who got expelled for attempting to overthrow former Prime Minister turned House Speaker Gloria Amano. While there wasn't a Timeranger 10 Years After Movie but the cast of Timeranger managed to get back together for a reunion movie. This time it's a new Super Hero Taisen movie that will feature the Timerangers as part of the cast. In fact, they will be the main focus of the cast and this will be slightly different than your average Super Hero Taisen movie. The movie links to the events of Gokaiger's 41st and 42nd episode. Satirical News: Toei Ltd. Announces New Tokusatsu Spin-Off Series Called "Gohan Heishi"

Toei yet announces they will have a new  Tokusatsu series called "Gohan Heishi" which means "Rice Soldier" in English. The main character of this Failed Hero series (a name Toei came for their spin-off series of failed heroes in contrast to their usual superhero storylines) is called Akeko Teramoto. The story goes that Akeko got arrested for attempting to overthrow the Japanese parliament prior to the deposed prime minister in a failed coup. While in prison, a meteorite fell down and he accidentally ate rice coupled with the meteorite hence granting him the power to become "Gohan Heishi". The main character will be played by Yoshihiro Fukoda. Fukoda was previously known to have played as Minoru Uesegi in Gekisou Sentai Carranger and as Joben Abunami in Shippaiman. In his quest to overthrow the Japanese parliament would include his allies Masato Rokuda (played by Osamu Sakuta who previously played Shippaiman), deposed by a vote of no confidence former p...

There May Be Non-Japanese Tokusatsu Fans Who'd Read Subs But Won't Bother To Fully Learn Japanese

With Shout! Factory releasing Super Sentai DVDs and non-Japanese fans getting the benefit of Tokusatsu with fansubs I want to think about another group of people. Some want to watch the subtitles because they want to learn Japanese. But others just watch subtitles because they might be the type to say, "I don't want a dubbed Super Sentai! I want to hear the real voices instead!" Then came Shout! Factory releasing Super Sentai but there's no sign that they may release more stuff. So why are some non-Japanese Tokusatsu fans not so willing to learn to speak Japanese? I think these people are probably that weak with languages or real life is really getting into them. Just talk about the busy schedule people may have. One good example would be academics and the other is work. Maybe some of them are willing but real-life affairs get it out. They may have been initially willing to learn Japanese but end up not willing to learn it unless their job demands it. There may b...

Forms Of Entertainment I Get Involved With When I'm Taking A Short Leave From Japanese Tokusatsu!

There are times I simply want to take a short break from Japanese Tokusatsu after having a lot of really good servings from it. That means no old school nor new school Tokusatsu during that short break which may happen up to two to three years or a matter of a few months depending on my mood or how much Japanese Toku I've watched. I admit that I do take a short break from Tokusatsu every now and then depending on my mood. So what do I do when I'm on a break from Tokusatsu? Here's some of them before I end up watching new school Tokusatsu. There's been a lot of good slices but no amount of good gimmicks can ever prevent taste fatigue from long serving patrons. Watching mostly new school Japanese drama I may be blogging about Kamen Rider in my drama blog (Heisei era Kamen Rider has the J-Drama feel) but what if I decide to go after non-Tokusatsu type, slice of life stories? As a guy who likes J-Pop and Japanese aesthetics I don't see any reason why J-Drama isn...

What I Feel Like Watching Super Old School Tokusatsu Older Than The 80s!

It's never a matter of old school or new school when it comes to good or bad quality. What's old can be good or bad and what's new can be good or bad. You can't just say that it's old school or new school then you're dismissing it. You can't just say because it's new then it's already good. It's a matter of how something is delivered. Some old school games will inevitably age badly when new school games produce something that will inevitably overshadow the former. I just had a thought on what it is to actually watch "That 70's Tokusatsu." It's no secret that I'm not having much of a problem with new school Kamen Rider . No matter how bad Heisei Kamen Rider may get (at times) but most of them gave pretty good servings. I usually prefer mostly old school Super Sentai but I usually feel like Goranger up to Sun Vulcan may not be my cup of tea. I usually can't watch super old school Super Sentai to the point that I end up ...

My Shallow Reasons To Stick Around With Tokusatsu?

From the 1990s up to 2016, I can't deny that I've got some stupid reasons to stick around Tokusatsu. It's namely EYE CANDY. But I can't deny that eye candy can't save a bad show but it won't save a good show. So I'd probably talk about some stupid reasons. Right now, Kamen Rider EX-AID has the pretty nurse Asuna Karino as a stupid reason to stick around and Zyuohger has Amu as a stupid reason to stick around. Amu's actress Haruka Tateishi looks like Tammy Chen who was my stupid reason to stick around Lavender's sad story. I could still recall why I watched Mighty Morphin' as a kid. It's because of my crush on Kimberly though my first Tokusatsu crush was Hikaru who was dubbed as Kimberly. In-between them, there was also Maskman's Momoko and Turboranger's Haruna. While I do find MMPR rewatches painful now due to Jason David Frank but I can't deny I still like Kimberly over Mei in terms of appearance and actress. But still, a Zyu...

My Pre-Conceived Stupid Imaginations With Kamen Rider EX-AID And Ninja Steel

I just have my preconceived biases every now and then. Please learn to tell them apart from my opinions and the facts okay? So here goes nothing with some stupid imaginations I've had as of recent. I think Kamen Rider EX-AID's going to be better than Zyuohger even before it starts... Even before seeing Kamen Rider EX-AID, I'm already thinking that I may like this show better than Zyuohger. The plot is interesting with a doctor as a Kamen Rider, with somebody who looks after the health of the public and I'm really thinking this might feel more "mature" than Zyuohger's fun series. It's too early for me to say it. I may find the suits cartoony and kiddie but the story's interesting. I'm even thinking that Super Sentai and Power Rangers are going to get kicked lower this time with Kamen Rider EX-AID. About the new Ninja Steel Pink Ranger... This is a very mixed comment from me. Again, since when did I not point out the weaknesses of just ...

How I Might Have Drafted A Rockman/Megaman Spiritual Successor?!

After looking at Mighty No. 9 and hearing disappointing reviews, I want to share my thoughts on how I might have drafted a Megaman successor. I feel like it's going to be quite different. Now I'm no programmer or anything but I'd like to share my imagined Megaman concept. Considering I've been a fan of both Classic Megaman and Megaman X, there's going to be a series of combined themes between them.  I remembered watching VR Troopers and later, I found about the existence of the superhero Metalder. Judging by the time Megaman and Metalder existed, Metalder came first. I thought about how my "spiritual successor" to Megaman might be pretty weird. But here's my concept anyway but sorry, no original artwork. Just my concepts okay? Here's my idea.

Satirical News: Shippaiman Episode Two "Hostage Fiasco" Angers Some Filipinos And Nobita Loyalists!

Shippaiman Episode Two entitled "Hostage Fiasco" caused an outrage. Kenichi Endo did a dual guest role. He plays as big time tycoon Rukio Tanaka who owns a liquor manufacturing plant. The other role Endo plays is as the hostage taker Rorando Medora. The whole episode had several hostages taken from the Philippines who were going to Japan for a tour. It caused an uproar from Filipinos and Nobita loyalists. The episode featured Kenichi Endo in a dual role. Prime Minister Nobita was seen having a good time while a bus full of Filipinos was hostaged by Medora. Medora is a fired police chief in Japan for accepting bribes. Medora wanting to be reinstated takes a group of Filipinos hostage. The rescue team sent by President Nobita are incompetent. It's shown President Nobita was at Tanaka's social gathering, unwilling to use any of his power to move during the hostage crisis. During the episode, Shippaiman fails yet again.

Satirical News: Shippaimai Breaks The Record For Highest Rating Premiere Episode For 2016!

The comedy series where Osamu Sakuta stars as the pseudo-hero Shippaiman hits the record high for its first episode. While Super Sentai and Kamen Rider airs on Sunday mornings on Super Hero Time, Shippaiman aired last night on 7:00 P.M. Shippaiman becomes the most watched television program during its first episode for the last four years. Ratings have been down since Go-Busters up to Ninninger. But Shippaiman broke the scale even at the first day outdoing Super Sentai, Power Rangers and Kamen Rider which are Toei's list of ongoing intellectual properties. Sakuta said, "I didn't expect Shippaiman to break the scale. Akibaranger sure had some followers but this one is unexpected. The comedy Tokusatsu series have stolen the ratings from Zyuohger and Kamen Rider Ghost. We never intended this comedy show to be for children but... how in the world did we get such ratings?!" Sakuta was surprised at the number of viewers that watched Shippaiman on TV-Asahi.

Satirical News: Toei Ltd. Confirms Shippaiman's Main Cast!

After Machine Man's Osamu Sakuta signs in to play the pseudo-Henshin hero Shippaiman, a new cast was created. One may be ready to laugh at the casting of Shippaiman. The following are cast to play as the recurring characters in the comedy series. There will also be various guest stars for Shippaiman as well. Sakuta also confirms the plot of Shippaiman to take place in a dystopian Japan. Descendants of Ieyasu Tokugawa have formed the Hacienda Tokugawa and have mistreated poor farmers. The current head of the hacienda is the bachelor Nobita Tokugawa. The members of the Hacienda Tokugawa forged an alliance with the Rokudas to take over Japan. But as time passed, their approval ratings declined so they sought to turn Manabu into a super hero but instead, he becomes a super failure. Mari Kouno plays as Kashiya Sano, Shippaiman's ever ambitious wife. Ever since Japan fell into a starstruck culture, she aims to become the first lady of Japan. The actress was previously Princess C...

Satirical News: Nebula Mask Machine Man's Osamu Sakuta Promises To Play Shippaiman!

Just a day or two after Toei's announcement that Shippaiman was already on the works, senior actor Osamu Sakuta decides to star as the main character Manabu Rokuda. Producer Naomi Takebe who's put in charge of Shippaiman's production stated, "Perfect! Osamu Sakuta is the guy we need to play as the false hero Manabu Rokuda." Osamu Sakuta was last seen reading "Sa Gitna Ng Unos" translated into Japanese. He replied, "I knew Machine Man didn't have so much good ratings. I wouldn't mind playing Shippaiman for comedy reasons. I've always wanted to act as that idiot Mar Roxas to at least teach his wife a lesson for wishing the tsunami will hit Japan." The writing cast of Shippaiman now involve Yoshio Urasawa and Naruhisa Arakawa. The series is scheduled to run for at least 26 episodes of pure nonsense. Urasawa mentions, "Carranger wasn't pure nonsense but Shippaiman is. Shippaiman is as superhero wannabe like Hercule in ...

Satirical News: Toei Ltd. Announces The Creation Of Tokusatsu Series "Shippaiman" Based On Comic Book "Sa Gitna Ng Unos"

After a Filipino staff member of Saban Brands (who did not want to disclose herself) was given a copy of "Sa Gitna Ng Unos" meaning "In the Middle of the Storm". Saban was able to get an English version of the comic strip and called it a huge pile of garbage but thought it might make a great comedy series. Saban flew off to Japan to meet Toei's CEO Noriyuki Tada and gave a copy of the comic book. With a translator at hand, Tada said that the whole comic book was a big pile of garbage but it gave him an idea. Inspired by the event where Roxas sought to become a Kamen Rider and failed miserably, both parties agreed to name the series Shippaiman. Shippai means failure in Japanese. The story of Shippaiman takes place that a huge storm hit Akihabara. Shippaiman tries to become a superhero but his henshin powers only makes the situation worse. The main character is named Manabu Rokuda (same initials with Mar Roxas) who is a failure of a superhero. Casting decisio...

Amy Jo Johnson As Kimberly Animated GIFs

I'll admit this one still gets me to this very day... and she's still got more charm than Rishiya Princess Mei IMO. So there! Something must have upset her Gotta love that smile

My Wild Dream Guests For Power Morphicon

As Power Morphicon approaches, here's a few guests that might make a good guesting have them dress up as certain characters. It might be funny if Takashi Ukaji were asked to dress up as Haim Saban. They do look alike. Yasuko Kobayashi would be a good guest at Power Morphicon considering that she and Judd Lynn tend to have a similar style in writing.

Satirical News: Mar Roxas Attempts To Become Boy Kamen Rider!

Yes folks, Mar Roxas attempted to become a Kamen Rider! After several failures to gain approval ratings, Mar Roxas now tries the absurd. After President Nobita met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Roxas had the ultimate idea. He ended up thinking that his next gimmick was to become "Boy Kamen Rider" to impress the crowd. What he did was to simply watch some Kamen Rider episodes where he attempts to become a Kamen Rider to please the crowd in his slogan, "Ituloy Ang Daang Matuwid" or "Continue the Straight Road". During this time, Roxas decided to try and do the stunts done by Japan Action Club. He said, "The symbol of the Liberal Party should the Kamen Rider." But before that, he forced his wife Kornina Sanchez to write an apology for wishing the typhoon would hit Japan instead of the Philippines. He wanted to become a Kamen Rider so he can gain approval ratings so he arranged a meeting with Kamen Rider stuntman Jiro Okamoto to learn to be...

Since When Has Liking Power Rangers Been A Criminal Offense?

Looking at this picture, I can understand why the thief and the rapist are getting beaten up. But the Power Rangers fan? Come on, why are there people beating him up for SIMPLY being a Power Rangers fan and two, since when was that a criminal offense that everyone must beat him or her up? It's not even a criminal offense. I'm afraid that whoever made this meme and those who are supporting it are really so shallow-minded they fail to see the much bigger issues in life. What is more stupid is that most of them are already adults. I may dislike Power Rangers (and I still do) but I know that the whole franchise' existence is necessary because without it, Toei will never be able to hit American shores and get a new target market. With the statement somebody made that he's sure that the Super Sentai cast members hate the Power Rangers cast members, I really DARE HIM to gather more evidence considering that statement is just plain preposterous. I can't be too sure...
