A Strange Case Of Where Secondary Villains Are More Popular Than The Main Villains

Not every main villain is that interesting isn't it? Well there are a couple of old school films that I would like to dig (and these are ADULT films) namely Robocop and later Darkman. I never dreamed that these movies were for adults because of a Robocop NES game and that awful Darkman NES game (way before the Mortal Kombat franchise forced the ratings board to come to life). Now I'd like to discuss about those secondary villains that were really way more interesting than the main villain.  Robocop has the case of Clarence Boddicker working for OCP Senior President Dick Jones. Yes, Jones is the main villain but I thought he was flat out and boring. The only edge he seems to have is that he had lots of money and his alliance with Clarence Boddicker. Without which -- Jones would just be a sitting duck in the OCP company. So what makes Boddicker way more interesting? He doesn't only get the most screen time but he's also responsible to why Alex Murphy ended up d...

Satirical News: Narco Alcos Arrested At EDSA Avenue

The long elusive drug dealer Narco Alcos has been arrested for the third time. He was known to have staged two magical escapes in both Dasmarinas, Cavite  and Camarines Sur . Now he was arrested for having organized today's EDSA gathering of the Dilawans. Now, it was confirmed that Alcos himself was actually staying at the Quezon City condominium -- the same place where Vice President Leni Loud Robredo is currently staying. Alcos was spotted at EDSA avenue where he was providing shabu to rallyists to make them more aggressive. He was arrested in a buy bust operation led by PNP General Oscar Albayalde and Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra. The drill involved rookie policemen who pretended to be addicts and fake rallyists. The buy bust operation was a success leading to Alcos' arrests after two magically-induced jailbreaks. He was finally arrested at 5 P.M. in the afternoon after he kept trolling policemen with magic dust disappearances. He was only arrested when he ran out of...

Why I'd Listen To The English Voice Acting From Some Japanese-Made RPGs

While I admit that I prefer the Japanese voice acting of the Megaman series (because the dubbers back then are freaking lifeless), I don't want to have an American-English dubbed Super Sentai (and I'd welcome official subs anytime for U.S. release in the form of Shout Factory DVDs) but some English dubs are just as good if not better than the Japanese! Then again, there are times I just feel like saying, "It's better in English than in Japanese!" for some cases when it comes to some Japanese-made RPGs. So why would I prefer the English voice acting when it comes to some Japanese-made RPGs? Not everything Japan makes is completely original and has some Western influence. Like it's so obvious that Marvel made Spiderman first, Janperson and Jiban are based on the American Robocop or that Dekaranger has been having Hollywood references in many of its episodes. The same can go for most RPGS -- most of them are based on WESTERN media. Dragon Quest and Final Fan...

A Wolverine-Like Love Life

I just want to relieve some tension today on Valentine's Day on the number of girls that actually formed a complicated love life. Perhaps one reason why Wolverine is one of my favorite X-Men characters if not my favorite (though I do have a Cyclops vs. Mr. Sinister clash with someone) is because of the love life thing going on. So what really happened? Pictures of the girls are just representations of who they are - not their real faces.  I think about my "so-called first love" who I compared to Rie Aoi though she wasn't my greatest love. I thought about how I soon got too serious with her in my late tens so why it happened is just STUPID. I remembered my former best friend also wanted her but as said -- it was for selfish reasons. I soon deceived myself into believing that I truly loved. I started longing for her though it was more of a desire of marriage for convenience -- she was a good shot even if she wasn't pretty. I said to myself once that I'd alwa...

One Girl Is Prettier Than The Other But I Know Which Show I'm Probably Skipping

Well I guess I can't hide my dislike for Power Rangers forever which can be justified by the rushed seasons and the current Nickelodeon fiasco (hence I deleted my slapstick fic) -- I just gave a thought that one girl is prettier than the other -- all the while I know which show I'm skipping! I just thought of the two cast reveals that happened last year and this year. Power Rangers Beast Morphers had its cast reveal last year. Ryuusoulger's cast got revealed yesterday. Ryuusoulger is going to air on March 17, 2019 (the same birthday as my real first crush) and my birthday will herald the four episode Super Sentai crossover mini-series. I just gave a thought on my tendency to watch Super Sentai or any show for eye candy and not for the plot -- all the while I still chew out a bad show with lots of eye candy regardless! I would admit that I find Jacqueline Scislowski (Beast Morphers) way prettier than Ichika Osaki (Ryuusoulger) and I think she's currently hotter than ...

Satirical News: Rep. Carlos Zarate Proposes Pinoy Entertainment Supremacy Bill

Representative Carlos Zarate of Bayad Muna Partylist has decided to pass a new law after the arrival of BlackPink K-Pop girl group. He now drafted the Pinoy Entertainment Supremacy Bill which has the following provisions: The previous proposal which says that Filipinos may no longer bring any books, DVDs or any media from abroad will no longer be allowed.  Foreign entertainment will now be forbidden on TV, radio and the Internet. Filipinos can watch Internet TV but only for their local shows. Badmouthing teleseryes will result to a 20-year imprisonment and it is considered non-bailable. Filipino films and media will be exported abroad. If said country refuses to air them then said country will be antagonized. He soon said in an interview, "It's a shame that Filipinos no longer appreciate our local artists. I couldn't forget the horrors that happened with the arrival of One Direction, the fact that Rurouni Kenshin's sequel movies defeated our local films and n...

Gracie Dzienny Picture For February 1, 2019

Well what better way to start the month of love with her lovely face, right?

A Funny Odd Couple I'd Imagine

There are many odd-looking couples and they don't have to be always ugly and pretty -- you can still have two good-looking people from different races or maybe add a height gap of nearly or at least a foot. I thought about my characterization of Andrew Gray dates a 5'1 lady played by Maaya Uchida. The names of the characters are Troy Toshiba Philips and Asuka Kang. Troy is an obvious eccentric, fan of Asian and American stuff and being bi-racial gets him into too many places at once. The history of the DVD as a Japanese invention had Philips a German company involved in its creation -- hence my character's middle name is Toshiba and his surname is Philips. His love interest Asuka was born in Japan but has no Japanese ancestry. Her Chinese-American parents were in Japan while her mother was pregnant and ended up having to deliver her there. She is of Mensa genius intellect (and a physicist-chemist) but severely lacks common sense -- a contrast to her love interest Troy...
