As if the One Direction ticket incident wasn't enough, the Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto's Inferno premiere wasn't spared from such stupidity either. I can understand in part because I have waited for at least two years for the next Rurouni Kenshin movie but... WTF?! Here is a video of the film "Anak" with subtitles for those who cannot understand Filipino. The film itself has a more or less realistic picture of OFWs but fails to show why they are plenty or why the Philippines is poor. Some OFWs are heroes, others are not. But the film shows an honest to goodness OFW... and as said, there are always abusive employers who tend to dislike foreigners in general, not just Filipinos. Looking at the scene above (which is close to the finale), here we can see how Carla (acted by Claudine Barretto) had literally wasted all the money sent by her mother for her. When China comes to mind, it reminds me of one of history's most cruel figures namely Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong launched the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward while mercilessly blowing away all who opposed his administration. I don't know if I should start categorizing Pinoy pridists as either anti-foreign or pro-foreign but I'll talk about American superiority mentality Pinays. These are the types who are always thinking everything American is better. They say America is the best, it's always the best and they always want to marry an American guy to escape from their miseries. Such are the themes of Filipino TV Drama most of the time- Cinderella mentality! Now for the hard truth! These American superiority mentality Pinays who marry an American for the sake of "escape" just don't realize that there are wealthy Filipinos in their country. Another battle for the Philippines to get real is that why are these Pinoy pridists so arrogant and proud as not to accept the Filipino-Chinese as their countrymen. So they insist on saying, "They aren't Filipino by blood, Philippines is only for the Filipinos." That kind of attitude has also developed a degree of prejudice among Filipino-Chinese against their own countrymen who aren't Chinese by blood. So let's get started shall we? We need to discuss that kind of attitude that has caused the Philippines to worsen. For one, there are more Filipino-Chinese businessmen than there are not. You might want to consider that actually, more Chinese are business-minded than not. True not all Filipino-Chinese are big time nationwide businessmen but they certainly provide jobs even if they weren't big somebodies. I mean, some Filipino-Chinese businessmen consider themselves as nobodies because they don't hold huge positions in authority, they are civilians....
Pinoy pride is no doubt not helping the Philippines. Allow me to write on why Pinoy Pride will also bad for the Filipino economy: The overspending problem of the Philippines. The Philippines may have some "improvement" but the problem is, it can always go back to square one. There's no doubt that many Filipinos are so stuck in the word spelled above in all capital letters, "LOAN". And why is that? No doubt the Philippines is filled with so much of the poor budgeting habits. Well it's time to really do a bright slap to them Pinoy pridists. Why is that? Simple, unless they return back to reality, the country cannot progress. Apparently many Pinoys are proud of their bad values of being praning which means having an annoying sense of humor and loves to overact. Just notice really how praning people can get so I guess it's only normal that many of them admire wrecking ball Miley or many others. In fact, a lot of Pinoy programming are known for having all these to think about... Yup you have to admit in the Philippines, the more praning people are, the more popular they tend to become. Like it or not, many Filipinos tend to make heroes out of the wrong people. Just a thought, it's been some time since Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. was cited for minor contempt for covering his ears in the courtroom but problem is, many Filipinos can be one-sided. I would agree detaining him would have been too much but to call him a hero, I don't know how to react to that but I could call it plain stupidity. As said, it was good for him to actually make a stand about Miriam's bad temper but, at the same time the prosecution panel deserved the scathing remarks she made. Bar exam results are not important here, in fact, some bar top notchers in Filipino law history tend to be really stupid when it comes to their profession. Well I'll admit there are great, talented Pinoys and I don't deny that but there are also stupid, non-talented Pinoys as much as stupid people exist in every race around the world. It can't be denied that a lot of Filipinos are really what I'd call really becoming whiners whenever they are rightly hammered by just policies. I would admit while some Pinoys have become victims of racism in some countries, however there are also some of them who tend to use the reality as an excuse even where racism doesn't exist. How? You might want to look at the average Filipino worker who was fired from abroad or placed to jail or worse comes to worst executed not for being Pinoy but for a real valid reason that they got their just desserts. Filipinos are one way or another stuck with some pseudonationalism. Well here's some values of the Filipino pseudonationalist to look out for: The Juan Tamad mentality. This is all about free riding. These are the people who want to take credit even when they do not contribute. Some of them have relatives working abroad whom they leech on for money. Others of this type are frequently absent.
