Satirical News: Stephen Sackur Schedules BBC HARDTalk Interview With Pinoy Ako Blog's Jover Laurio This April 1, 2018

After several months of the BBC Interview where Jover Laurio appears -- it finally raised some attention when BBC HARDTalk's Stephen Sackur expressed his desire to interview Laurio. He has had some Filipino employees and translators translate the content of Pinoy Ako Blog into English so he could begin his interview with Laurio. Laurio soon made a statement and said, "I am honored that Stephen Sackur of BBC HARDTalk will give me his time slot this April 1, 2018. I would be the representative of the Filipino people as I will expose all the fake news of the Duterte Administration. I will tell the world how much we need help. Thanks Sackur for accommodating me in your slot." She was soon rallied by supporters like Jim Paredes, Florin Hilbay, Agot Isidro, Leah Navarro and Cynthia Patay as her scheduled interview has arrived. However, Sackur gave a warning, "You have to be on time for the interview or consider your slot forfeited! I don't believe in your so-cal...

Taking Mario Kart Too Far

Here's something that's a bit of a stretch. No longer satisfied with just playing it on console -- they decided to do it for real. I find this to be pretty funny!

It's The Chinese Lantern Festival

It's the 15th day of the first Lunar Month and it's the first full moon of the Lunar Year. This is the final celebration of the Chinese New Year but it's not a holiday in some places.  One legend has it that a crane landed on a village in China. The villagers hunted it down without realizing it belonged to the Jade Emperor -- the highest Elder God. He wanted to crush the village but one of his daughters devised a plan. The elder goddess decided to suggest the village to hang red lanterns and blow up fireworks. This somewhat appeased the Jade Emperor and decided not to rain down the judgment of the Elder Gods for his favorite crane. Hmmm... the Elder Gods can be so petty can't they?  Another story involves Hong Jun Lao Zu or the Ancestor of the Great Balance. If I'm not wrong his birthday falls down on the 9th day of the 9th Lunar Month -- or Senior Citizen's Day in China. The creature known as Nian was terrorizing the village. By having red colored cl...

TBT: That Really Super Annoying Spelunker Game

It's Throwback Thursday and I want to talk about one of the worst things that came out of Retro Gaming -- it's that accursed Spelunker Game. I could remember the time I owned the 190 in 1 cartridge for the Family Computer during the 90s and played it there. This was one game I really got SOOOOO frustrated one way or another. Unfortunately, Square Enix as they developed this sequel didn't make any things better. Wow, I understand the need for "realism" but isn't it that the unrealistic logic of video games contributes to the fun factor? Honestly, I can't help but think that WTF is wrong with the developers? This game is so horrendous at so many levels! Sure it has better graphics and new mechanics now but WTF -- the game is still TOO HARD to play even when we're in the digital age. At least other new school games are hard to play but they are compensated by easier controls. This game gives you NEITHER of them. ARGH! Yup, as said some old sch...
