The Moment You Realize "Take Me To Your Heart" Is Based On A Sad Song Titled "Kiss Goodbye"

One of my favorite cover songs "Take Me to Your Heart" (which was done by Michael Learns to Rock) was based on Jacky Cheung's "Kiss Goodbye". What's not too surprising is that the lyrics of a proposal love song was taken from a sad love song. Shocked? For me, not really. Cover songs tend to change moods a lot. Cheung covered Ariel Rivera's hit song "Sana Kahit Minsan" (Hopefully At Least Once) which leads me to wonder how many more Chinese songs have Filipino covers too?

Now, for the translation of the lyrics of Cheung's song "Kiss Goodbye" show it's a REALLY sad song:

It was nice to see both Hu Yanbin and Michael Learns to Rock have a dual language duet. One's in English and the other is in Mandarin-Chinese. The two lyrics "clash" because one is a proposal and the other is a song of regret. Still, we can't deny that the exchange of cultures is there.
