You Couldn't Truly Bring Home The Arcade Game Until Sixth Generation Consoles

I remembered there was this joke from the Tekken series where the arcade mode had the words "Insert Coin" still in the console. It was like bringing the game home from the arcade. What made me laugh was when my sister and cousins would joke, "Do you have a token?" Then I thought of the emergence of the PS2 which actually defeated the Sega Dreamcast. Dreamcast was defeated and hence began Sega's transition to a third-party developer.

So, there were the first three Tekken games and they did add content. However, the first three games didn't get that well of graphics since they were adding content. What could be noticed though was that the sixth generation consoles did better. For one, Tekken Tag Tournament was ported to the PS2 via DVD technology. Though that wasn't the only issue...

Though who can remember the Marvel vs. Capcom series when they had their home versions? The arcade had the thrill of tag team play. In the fifth generation consoles - they were basically toned down as the EX Edition. Tag Team was missing and you can only do it when you and your partner had the same characters - which is BORING! I guess that's why Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was released for the PS2 after the Dreamcast was DEAD. Sadly, Capcom never gave an upgrade to the much better classic, Marvel vs. Capcom for the PS2 complete with tag-team play.

Pretty much, these are but other nostalgic memories!
