A Great Example of A One-Sided Viewpoint of Filipinos

Although the conflict between Miriam Santiago and Vitaliano Aguirre II is already OLD NEWS, he already apologized but I can't get over some people who believed he should have not apologized.  I mean really, this is reality you must face- Aguirre is a professional lawyer and he later realized what he did was wrong so he did apologize to the tiger lady for what he did even if he said he didn't regret that whole covering ears thing because he believed he needed to do it to address she needed to lower down her shrill voice.  The whole problem is that some Filipinos are actually calling this an act of heroism when it was more of an act of self-defense.  It was all a very one-sided thing because for one I believe that Miriam Santiago's irritable personality going crazy and berating the Senate like that was uncalled for yet no matter how much you're berated, covering one's ears is definitely not appropriate though neither was the proposed torture.  At least later the lawy...

The Juan Tamad Economy of the Philippines

Like it or not, the Philippines is plagued with this injustice system called the Juan Tamad economy which some of the pseud-nationalists are proud of.  In what way is this unjust?  For one, justice is not always based on equality, sometimes it's based on equity like not charging common laborers of taxes while those who earn more are to remit more.  A flat line tax will not work.  The problem with the Philippines is that with this Juan Tamad economy, it's the system that rewards the lazy and punishes the diligent.  Below are some examples that have gone beyond the classroom setting of people who do little but claim to do all the work: Go to a Filipino government office.  Think about the injustice there is this... those who aren't working at all and not doing their jobs right are getting the SAME pay as those who are doing their jobs right.  That is PLAIN crooked.  While private sectors tend to flourish, government office efficiency is very low ...

Well Stupid Filipino Politicians DESERVE Their Fire Breathing Dragon in the Senate

I was thinking that even if Miriam Defensor Santiago does need to cool down her temper or risk having a heart attack or she needs to lower her voice, however she does stress a lot of deficiencies that need to be addressed towards people especially during procedures.  Well truth has to be told that many Filipinos do have their own twisted sense of freedom and liberty so every time a firm authority comes in, they complain of them as "unreasonable" so they really are in a way asking for a fire-breathing dragon which they all deserve because they all need to be straightened up.  Yup problem is compared to Vitaliano Aguirre II who was more or less in an act of self-defense and later apologized, most of them DO NOT.  The problem with the Filipino system today is that it rewards the lazy and punishes the diligent.  This is why I salute this fire breathing dragon for breathing fire against slackers because I myself am one against slackers. Well yeah, Miriam Defensor Sant...

Yup Some Girl Like Trixie

I just had my unfortunate rise and fortunate fall with a girl like Trixie. So yeah, she wasn't really the hottest girl in school nor anything but she was still kinda hot but not really smoking.  She was three years my junior and I began to fall for her when she was 13 I was 16 that time.  So what's the real deal?  She was a campus queen, I was a delinquent and things started to go to awkwardness.  While I had a crush on her, I still remembered my first crush who I wished to be reunited with but every time I saw the other girl, I avoided her.  For that girl who was like Trixie Tang, I felt it was like getting a rock and pounding myself with it since she was actually a materialistic lady.  Made me think these can't adjust to my semi-conservative lifestyle compared to her hyper-Western living: 1.) Trips abroad a lot every year. 2.) She loves to change clothes styles a lot. 3.) She is an addict to accessories. 4.) She loves going out to expensive places. ...

Recalling My First Crush and Fickleness

After hearing that my first love had gotten engaged to an American, at least I can say that the past is over and the wounds can heal.  After all, I am no longer interested in her and so much for my , "I'll always love her no matter what." which was but the result of plain immaturity.  So pretty much, being stuck on her had caused me and my ex-girlfriend to split up and she later found another man.  A lot of regrets really that being stuck with remembering my first crush and believing a harmful rumor that caused me to inflict unnecessary pain towards women. At the same time, I remembered the time me and my former rival had a fight for four certain girls in four separate occasions.  Pretty much, the fourth woman really drove so much strife between me and him I chose not to pursue the fourth woman who I really wanted... also at the same time I was too in love with my first crush.  It just made me think having feelings for somebody you find special at a very you...

Shaved Ice Dessert Craze...

Well here's shaved ice craze and here's just a few pictures... and they are all pretty delicious in a way. This is the Filipino version of shaved ice.  Actually not so beany and sometimes more sweet with condensed milk and ice cream.  It can be a refreshing dessert but may have more calories.  For me, my preferred ice cream on it would be mango or vanilla (or sometimes chocolate) and I am not a big fan of ube ice cream compared to the other uses of ube. There is the slightly different Taiwanese shaved ice which usually is less sweet but more refreshing, more of my personal preference. Actually this can be made with Filipino ingredients as well and given tropical variations that Taiwanese can't have. Though the Filipino innovation has the Mais Con Yelo which may have already made a name for itself abroad.  It's for people who like less complicated tastes.  More is less sometimes.  . We can have the Japanese shaved ice though the green tea flavor ...

Mandarin Education... How We Might Improve It!

With the rising need for Mandarin education, to be honest it can be very frustrating to have Mandarin education with only memorizing phrases without understanding them, really or that fill in the blanks isn't helping.  For me, this might be the best way considering this could be the only way... The first step is to really make it easy.  Note that most Chinese students might not be Chinese or even if they are ethnically Chinese but being descendants of migrants, it can be a problem.  I mean, Vanness Wu for instance because of him being American by citizenship had to start all over.  Also in the Philippines, Filipinos can be very dumbfounded with Chinese since it's a very different language.  If Chinese can be dumbfounded by English, the same can happen to other people when it comes to Chinese.  So the fact is ENOUGH of the useless memorizations in Chinese! It's VERY important to STOP with the Chinese alphabet and MOVE towards the direct use of the Pho...
